Dehydration is a skin state and all skin, whether oily, dry or combination, is susceptible to it. Dehydrated skin is skin that lacks water. Dehydration can occur due to various factors: environmental (cold, pollution, UV, etc.), external (cigarettes, alcohol), emotional (stress, tiredness), inappropriate cosmetic products, or medical treatments (e.g. for acne). The hydrolipidic film on the skin’s surface forms a natural shield which slows down the evaporation of skin moisture. Hydration is essential to maintain this barrier function. If the skin lacks water, its barrier function is affected and moisture escapes more quickly. As a result, skin becomes less supple and radiant, and feels tight and uncomfortable. Dehydration fine lines can also appear.

How can we correct these signs? SVR has rigorously selected four actives, each one with an essential benefit for skin:

If the skin microbiota is imbalanced, skin ageing is accelerated. It therefore needs protecting. SVR uses PASTEURISED PROBIOTICS to strengthen the skin barrier. We chose these particular strains because the process of pasteurisation ensures they retain their probiotic properties, which strengthen and protect the skin barrier as well as hydrating it.

Because hyaluronic acid production diminishes from the age of 25, our R&D team chose to use a HYALURONIC ACID WITH A LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT combined with a HYALURONIC ACID WITH A MEDIUM MOLECULAR WEIGHT. This pair work synergistically to support the hydration process and to plump up and smooth out wrinkles.

Vitamin C is vital for skin, but our bodies do not produce it naturally. In its pure form it is unstable and oxidises over time, losing its properties. Our R&D team therefore chose to use STABILISED VITAMIN C. Skin is protected against free radicals; it is firmer and less tired.
