Allergy-prone skin has an impaired barrier function, making it easier for environmental aggressors (mites, pollution, etc.) to penetrate. These cause and aggravate irritation and itching. It’s easy to understand how skin can react to unsuitable products or changes in the weather. Still, the harmful effects of other aggressors such as mites and pollution are less noticeable.
